Rosa Parks what do you think of when you her rosa parks? Rosa Parks was the first woman to ever stand up to a white person on the bus for not moving when she was in the white section of the bus. Rosa was taken to jail and was pleaded guilty. Rosa said the bus company never really said that they had to give up the seat if no other seat was avalable for the passangers to sit (the white people). So when a white person said that she would like to sit there and she said no the bus driver called the police and had her put in jail.

The Necklace
The Necklace
Imagine going to a party being the star of the party wearing a friend’s necklace and coming home and not finding it on your neck and you last saw it on the taxi that you didn’t get the number of the taxi cab. In the story “The Necklace” a girl that wants to fit in finds out that the most challenging thing is to be happy with her self and to not wish she was something diffirent then she really is.
In the story the necklace a young lady named Mathilde wish she was rich and had all the things she wanted in life. In reality Mathilde lives on a normal salary and her usband work for a bank as and accountent many. When Mathilde was all alone she would day dream about how she would live if she was wealthy. She would have a big house with grand partys she would also have the best china there was and beautiful gouns for going to parties. One day her husband came home with an invitation to go to a ball that the Mathilde has been dreaming about. Surprisingly she blew it off and said she didn’t wanna go because she had no dress that would suite her expectations of what she wanted to be perspected as. When her husband said she could get a nicer dress she was excited but then she relized she had nothing to go with her dress and she would look like a fool with out any jewlry. Just as they wernt going to go her husband thought that she could borrow a piece from her friend Madame Ramponneau who was very wealthy because she got married. As She went over to Madame Ramponneau house and got just one necklace but at the time she didn’t know that it was fake. She went to the party and she was a star she dance so gracefully and knew all the songs. When they went home she relived that she didn’t have it on her necklace. They sruched high and low and finally found a look alike and they bought it within three days. After they bought it they feel from middle class to lower class. When the Mathilde dreamed of the nice china and beautiful dresses now she just wished she could have her old life back. She become a servant and did other peoples laundry and cooked for other people when finally her husband and her payed off her whole debt she saw her friend Madame Ramponneau who gave her the necklace and first Madame Ramponneau didn’t even reconized her but then they got to talking and Madame Ramponneau relized that it was her friend and she caused the debt that the Mathilde was in becuause Mathilde had relized they thought it was real instead of fake.
The mode of “The Necklace” is a tradgey. The reason for the mode is that the main chacter was never happy with her self and never thought what she had was good enough for her self to be in public like that. In the beginging of the story there was a flaw in the charcter. Mathilde wished she had expenisve tapistry and priceless antiques in her house. Which make her vonurable to the story by wishing she was something else then what she really was. Then the main charcter rose to power I guess you could say by being the center of attition at the party and wearing the most beautiful dress. After the ball she had a tradgic fall by losesing the necklace. After she lost the necklace she fell from her spot on the “social pyramid” into the non-wealthy catagorie. After Mathilde and her husband payed back every person they owed money from she was taking a walk in the park and came across her wealthy friend and Mathilde talked to her which brought her back to being normal in the mode line of tradgey.
In the story the main charter is named Mathilde and she is very greaty and wants the best of everything and never apprectied anything that her husband worked so hard for. Also Mathilde wanted to be the center of attition and big events that were held, even though she was on the few couples that were invited as a treat for the accountant when he got it because very few accountants got the invite. When the husband came home with the new he was very excited but, Mathilde was being greety by not wanting to go because she had nothing to wear (that fit her expectations). Mathilde’s husband was very kind to her wife by giving her almost everything she wanted within reason. He worked very hard to try to meet Mathilde’s needs buy giving her money for a new dress and coming up with the way to borrow a piece of jewlery from her friend Madame Ramponneau. When his wife lost the necklace he was very responsible by getting the money and buying a replacement and having her give it to Madame Ramponneau and them having to go through the pain of paying it all back in ten years. The main chacters of the short story were very diffirent and I don’t even see how they got married in my opinion they were tottaly wrong for eachother Mathilde is very greety and doesn’t apprectie anything. Her husband on the other hand was very nice and down to earth person.
The main point of the story, it seems to me that you shoulnt let thing define you and we are all equal as a person but ony things define you and when people think that objects are the most important they become full of them selves if they become rich and high up in the social system. Many people get caught up in the money and never really apprict life on how lucky we are to have a good time evne if you dddont have a fancy dress or a necklace.

Tiara
Once upon a time there was a Princess named Adara who lives in Greece; she was very wealthy she owned many dresses and jewels. Adara lived in a grand house with many servants to attend her every need. She had a mother and father who were the best parents in the world all the villagers loved them and showered them with gifts from the best of their gardens and farm. Many of the girls in school were jealous of her, but what they did not know what that she was longing for real friends instead of the friends she accumulated with all her worthiness and popularity. The whole kingdom was at her feet and the Greek gods didn’t like this because instead of looking up at them they looked up to the royal family, the villages thought of them as if they themselves were gods.
Ten years later when Adara was old enough to be queen her parents died of the flu and it was her and her brother who had to rule their little village. Both her and her brother wanted to rule it in a different way. Her brother Adonis wanted the villagers to give them half their harvesting and to not earn a lot of money. On the other hand Adara wanted them to earn what they grow and raise and to not have to give what they made themselves but to give it as a gift, but only if they wanted to. They bickered many times throughout the first year a ruling the kingdom. Many of the villages wanted them to work out their problems and to not be so cruel to each other. The one thing their parents left behind that only one of them could have was a crown, this was not and ordinary crown but it was a crown that belonged to the gods they accidentally dropped it out of their home during a thunderstorm. Both of them wanted the crown for different reasons good and bad. So the villagers decided to hold a vote in which the one who won was going to rule and the other would get the crown. Adara won the kingdom because of her charm and good personality. Adonis didn’t the crown, so he decided to flee the kingdom and to start a new life in a different country.
Ten years later Adara was tired of running the village and became a selfish and rude leader and wanted everything. After she decided she wanted the crown again she gathered up ten of her best soldiers and she searched the whole world and finally found him in a cave with many people to grant his every wish. The gods were mad that Adonis was abusing the crowns power by hypnotizing his servants to make him do anything that he wanted. When Adara came to this cave she almost fainted when she saw how tranquil place like it was a retreat for calming and relaxation. Then this and that happened and it ended with a fight and when the crown was taken away. When Adonis put a spell on his servants there was a young man that was sent down to get the crown back to the gods so he pretended to be under the crowns spell but in real life the gods have given him the power to resists the power that the held beneath the crown.
This man was in charge of giving the crown back to the rightful owners which were the gods. Adonis and Adara both were fighting so hard that they hadn’t noticed that the crown was missing and when they did they both were extremely mad with each other and thought that they had their soldiers steal it from each other and had hidden it away from there. Adara and Adonis both counted their men and found that Adonis had his youngest soldier missing the one who was returning the crown to the rightful owner.
When the young man finally got to where he was supposes to meet the gods he was awfully tired, hungry, and cold. Zeus came down from the heavens he was calm yet very strong. He rewarded the man with internal l life but was taken if needed. Zeus took the crown back to the heavens and smashed it into a million pieces, he said “this crown was to powerful and has gotten out of hand and must be destroyed.” Even though the crown was destroyed it still managed to make a crown shaped constellation in the sky. People now still tell the story of the Crown and will never be forgotten by the Greek god
